Healing through relationships
Relationships can bring us contentment and joy, but relationships can also cause us great pain and suffering. So how can we heal from the pain and suffering caused by a past relationship?
Through a pill that changes our brain chemistry? Through meditation practice two hours a day?Through travelling to India and 'finding yourself'? Through gambling, drinking, or getting stoned? Through getting a new hobby? Through dedicating yourself to a noble cause?
From my experience, all these practices may give us some comfort and relief from the pain and suffering, but none of these will lead you to heal the pain of a past relationship.
It is through healthy and secure relationships today that we begin to heal the pain of past relationships.
